IT'S A WRAP!
We just finished seven days of shooting on our new short film, Cut Out, starring, Joanne Dubach, Adero Neely and Kevin Fesley. Written, directed and co-produced by Mary Novak with producer and production designer, Laurie Little of Luminist Films, DP Christian Hins, 1st AD, Ariel Guernica, Gaffer Collin Prall, Best Boy electric, Robby O'Neil and Scott Kaser on sound. We are now in post on the music video for the new Deep Blue Organ Trio release of the CD titled "Wonderful".

Canvas, Wheels and Keys is near picture lock and will have a fall release of September 1st.

Deep Blue Organ Trio Music Video in Production

Last week we shot the recording sessions at Victorian Recording in Barrington, for Deep Blues new Stevie Wonders tribute album. We will shoot a live performance soon at the Green Mill and will be back in the editing room in the new year.

Another Festival

"Taco Mary" will screen at the East Lansing International Film Festival next weekend, October 23 and will compete in the Lake Michigan Film Competition. I unfortunately have to work otherwise I would be there!

Festival News

"Taco Mary" screened at the Eugene International Film Festival and the Lady Filmmakers Film Festival in Los Angeles early October. And the film won a Festival Director's Choice Award at the Lady Filmmakers Fest!"Taco Mary" also screened at the Salento International Film Festival in Italy and at the Great Lakes International Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Spiritual/Religious/Christian film.

Wins an Audience Award

"Taco Mary" won an Audience Award at Chicago REEL Shorts Film Festival.

Chicago Screening

Taco Mary will screen for the Chicago REEL Shorts Film Festival in the Comedy Show, Saturday, September 18 at 6:00 PM at Film Row Cinema, 1104 S. Wabash, Chicago. A homemade Chicago comedy with tacos, the Virgin Mary, and other home-brewed characters.
